How Walker & Dunlop turned a “brochure” into a highly impactful asset
When you're one of the largest commercial real estate finance and advisory firms in the US (and now the UK), your digital presence should command the same authority as the brand itself. Walker & Dunlop saw untapped potential in their old website—and an opportunity to catch up.
But they faced a classic Goldilocks dilemma: they needed a platform powerful enough to match their ambitions, but something user-friendly enough that they wouldn't need to build a dev team just for maintenance or get locked into a non-beneficial vendor relationship.
They picked Webflow. We replatformed them and delivered a design refresh to match their evolution.

Pushed to evolve
Recognizing the legacy and the need for a premium user experience, we agreed on a story-first approach before laying down a single wireframe. This step ensured their brand built trust and convenience with every element.
Thanks to the "sharpening one another" mindset (as our client puts it), we challenged the brief when necessary. In turn, they challenged us to find technical solutions to their accumulation of ideas, such as using APIs to integrate various tools and create custom ones.
It was a great collaboration: They brought the market pulse and direction, and we brought the UX strategy and Webflow mastery.

The biggest win is velocity at every corner
In the old system, a simple campaign or update could take months. And internally, the previous website was perceived as nothing more than a digital brochure.
Today, their marketing team makes updates in just hours—independently. People across the company submit content and ideas on how to use the website as a central marketing and sales tool. And rumor has it they’re now even thinking about snazzy, new interactive experiences.
Walker & Dunlop finally has a digital asset that moves as fast as their business, reflects their brand strength, and empowers the marketing and sales teams.
“We very much felt that we are part of the same team, as opposed to just an outside vendor.”
