About us
Edgar Allan is an award-winning Webflow Enterprise Partner agency working at the intersection of brand and performance. We help mid-market and enterprise businesses move from brand clarity to conversion, because in the AI era, a strong brand isn't just good positioning, it's how you're found, understood, and chosen.
We're ~60 people working across the globe, with leadership in Atlanta, Georgia, and a front-row seat to the biggest shift in how brands compete in a decade. We're not watching AI change the industry from the sidelines. We're building the practice, developing the frameworks, and doing the work in real time alongside our clients.
The Role
As a Solution Architect, you'll play a pivotal role by leading product development, implementation and roll out and bridging creative vision with technical excellence. You'll collaborate closely with sales and clients to gather requirements, design scalable and innovative digital solutions, and oversee their implementation and ongoing support. Working with cross-functional teams, you'll ensure our products are seamlessly integrated, strategically aligned, secure, and built to perform. If you're passionate about solving complex challenges, shaping product lifecycles, and delivering impactful digital experiences, join us in crafting solutions that inspire and endure.
What You'll Do
- Requirements analysis: Collaborating with sales, business stakeholders, project managers, and end-users to gather and analyze technical and business requirements.
- Solution design: Creating technical architecture designs, blueprints, and system diagrams that outline the structure, components, and integration points of a solution.
- Technical leadership: Guiding implementation, development and QA teams throughout the project lifecycle to ensure the solution is implemented according to the design and best practices.
- Technology evaluation: Assessing existing and emerging technologies to select the most suitable tools, platforms, and frameworks for a project.
- Proof of concept (PoC): Developing and presenting prototypes or PoCs to validate proposed solutions with stakeholders.
- Risk management: Identifying potential challenges, evaluating technology options for scalability, performance, and security, and making recommendations to mitigate risks.
- Documentation: Creating thorough technical documentation, including specifications, architectural designs, policies, procedures, and controls and the rationale behind key decisions. Help maintain, enforce and update technology policies, standards, and procedures based on the requirements and security frameworks.
- Compliance: Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to ensure security controls are implemented correctly across the environment. Participate in periodic reviews and support compliance efforts.
- Communication: Acting as the link between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex information into easy-to-understand terms.
- Monitoring and optimization: Continuously monitoring the performance of a solution after implementation and identifying areas for improvement.
Must-Have Skills
- Software architecture: A deep understanding of architectural principles, software development methodologies, design patterns, and system integration.
- System integration: Experience integrating various systems, applications, and technologies to ensure seamless interoperability.
- Programming knowledge: A strong background in programming languages and familiarity with technologies used by the development team.
- Data management: Expertise with database engines and data management solutions.
- Networking and security: A solid understanding of networking principles, security best practices, and compliance standards.
- DevOps: Familiarity with DevOps processes and tools for continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD).
- Security: Strong understanding of security principles, cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure), and security tools (e.g., SIEM, vulnerability scanners) is a plus.
- Interpersonal skills: Exceptional business acumen, problem-solving, leadership, stakeholder management, written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex requirements to non-technical stakeholders.
Who You Are
- Autonomous: You thrive with ownership and deliver results without hand-holding.
- Collaborative: Strong written communication; you sync up clearly and asynchronously.
- Business-Savvy: You understand business processes, strategic goals, and constraints to design solutions that deliver real value.
- Curious: You keep up with evolving best practices in JavaScript, Webflow, and AI.
A Note on Fit
You are a translator at heart, someone who moves fluidly between code and conversation, making complex systems make sense to everyone in the room. You think in trade-offs, not absolutes, and you're comfortable owning a decision and explaining the reasoning behind it. Fast-moving agency work doesn't rattle you: you bring structure where it's missing, ask the questions no one else thought to ask, and design solutions that hold up long after launch.
What It's Like Here
- Remote-first and people-first.
- A variety of client work: quick iterations, deep storytelling builds, and everything in between.
- We are wildly collaborative and take an outcomes-based approach, so you will have autonomy and ownership over your projects.
- We value curiosity, kindness, and clarity.
How to Apply
- Submit your portfolio/GitHub & LinkedIn.
- Interviews with core team members.
- Timeline: We aim to wrap up the process within 2-3 weeks.
Please note, Edgar Allan conducts background checks at the offer stage for all hires (which may include criminal background checks for some roles)
